Sahara dunes
These dunes, in the Tenéré region of the Sahara desert, can reach over 300 metres in height. They are formed from winds dropping their sand before climbing over the Air mountains. The Tenéré occupies much of southeastern Niger and is considered to be part of the larger Sahara Desert, which stretches across northern Africa.
