Chewing Betel Nut
Seventy two year old grandmother Moi Ha chewing betel nut. She will need the green betel nut (buai), a jar of lime powder (kambang) and a bean-like green called mustard (daka).She breaks the betel nut open by cracking the shell with her teeth. She then takes the meaty center out of the shell and starts chewing it. She will chew the betel nut for 2-5 minutes or until it forms a wad in your mouth.She slightly moistens the mustard seed in her mouth and dips it into the jar of lime powder.
