Long sleeves
The black hat dancers originated in Tibet during the reign of Langdarma, the anti Buddhist king in Tibet 842Ad. Lhalung Peklki Dorji performed a mask dance in public wearing long sleevces to hide bow and arrow and when the King visited to watch the dance, he shot him and fled. It has become a symbol to subdue spirits for building important monasteries and Dzongs in Bhutan.
