Baby in Bilum Bag
The multi-coloured string bag is a purse, pocket, and cradle for the people of New Guinea. Photographed in a village along the Sepik River.
This photograph won the grand prize in a photography contest sponsored by the "Toronto Star" newspaper.
Part of the prize was a trip to the Cook Islands for two people.
It has appeared in numerous books and magazines. Selected for "Travel Photographer Of The Year Collection" (exclusive to the very best images entered into the awards.)
