There are Sacred places in the world that have a special meaning to the people that visit them. Legends and myths, fairy tales and fables have always exerted a strong influence upon human beings. Myths and legends tell of certain sites that have the miraculous ability to heal the body and enlighten the mind. There are sacred places across the earth, from the Amazon jungle to the temples of India, the Buddhist monasteries of Tibet to the wonders of Peru. There are three general types of sacred rituals: life-cycle, life-crisis, and calendar or seasonal. Rituals can range from simple gestures to ceremonial performances, initiations, and celebrations.
